UK Practical Shooting Association
This is one of the UK's fastest growing shooting sports where Practical Shooting requires a blend of accuracy, power, and speed so that you acquire a winning combination. The discipline includes multiple targets, moving targets, targets that react when hit, penalty targets, or even partially covered targets, obstacles, and movement.
The UKPSA supports a range disciplines of practical shooting within the UK which include Shotgun, Handgun, Long Barrel Pistol/Revolver, Pistol Caliber Carbine, Rifle, Mini Rifle and Action Air. Practical Shooting is the fastest growing of the shooting sports.
The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) is the worldwide governing body for practical shooting today and numbers some 85 affiliated nations including most European countries. The motto for practical shooting is DVC, Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas. Which is Latin for accuracy, power, speed. All elements should be equally tested when participating in practical shooting.

Balance – Accuracy, Power and Speed are equivalent elements of IPSC shooting, and are expressed in the Latin words "Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas" ("DVC"). A properly balanced course of fire will depend largely upon the nature of the challenges presented therein.
Practical shooting is not only fun but also very competitive.
In the 1990s practical shooting was extremely popular in the UK until he ban on handguns in 1997. However, there is a new version of the sport which offers the same excitement and challenge with the need for speed, accuracy and power throughout every match.
Due to strict UK firearms laws and regulations the handgun is banned and this is when Action Air steps in. Action air is a mirror image of of handgun IPSC with all the same fundamentals and applications swapping the band handgun for a gas blowback airsoft replica.
This allows for a very quick and easy introductionto Practical Pistol Shooting with the potential to expand to other disciplines involving firearms.
